Taken at dusk, in a place where time appears to stand still. A once bustling and vibrant desert oasis now exists only for those brave enough to enter one of the last “no man’s land” sites in North America.

This place is beautiful in its own way and I was excited to be able to see it. The Salton Sea, located on the San Andreas Fault in California, is slowly evaporating without a consistent source of fresh new water and the toxicity of the land and water coupled with dangerous desert vagrants that wander these sands make this a place best admired from a far.
