Just over the grass hill is a famous rock formation in Iceland near the black sand beaches on the southern coast. I tried to take a picture of this in the morning on the drive past it but I couldn’t quite capture the feeling I wanted.
Fast forward 8 hours later, on the return trip, we could tell the sky was about to burn, we pulled over, threw the car in park, and ran flat out for almost 1/4 mile carrying all the camera gear to get some amazing sunset photographs. This was the definition of run-and-gun photography.
